Herd Improvement Figures For Bay And Coast Make New Record
The Bay of Plenty and East Coast Herd Improvement Association has, for the period ending November 28, 1947, recorded a higher average of fat and also a larger number of cows than any previous season. The comparison for the same month in the 1946-47 period shows only 572 herds totalling 35,566 cows with an average of 38 of fat; as against 668 herds* totalling 40,219 cows, doing 40 of fat. Following are the statistics for the groups under the Association:—-
