Stock Realisations At Waimana Sale Show Rise On Recent Rates
At the Waimana Sale oil Monday 19, a large bench of buyers from Opotiki, Waimana and Whakatane districts was present. The complete yarding changed hands at prices above recent rates. All dairy stock was keenly sought. Dairy stock: Choice quality, recently calved, Jersey heifers £l9 10s to £2l 10s: calved Shorthorn heifers, £l2 10s to £ls 15s; cows calved and to calve, £8 10s to £11; medium quality wesner Jersey heifers, £5 17s 6d. Fat cattle: Fat to heavy Jersey and Shorthorn cows £lo.to £13.; young forward Jersey cows, £6 14s to £9 4s; potter bulls, £7 10s t® £8 2s 6d. Pigs: Empty Berkshire sows, § gns to lOgns; young empty sows, £5 to £5 10s; light baconers, £5 ss. Sheep: Small shorn W.F. ewe lambs, 16s. 6d; small shorn W.F. wether lambs, 18s Id; aged ewes, 19s 3d.
