Visitor To Tauranga Had Infantile Paralysis
Returning to Papatoetoe after a week spent in Tauranga, a young Maori woman was admitted to hospital on Thursday, the day of her arrival home, and was later stated to be a positive case of poliomyelitis. The woman left Taurapga by earlymorning service car, advice being received in the district that she was admitted to the Auckland hospital soon after her arrival. ' ’During the week’s stay in Tauranga, the woman visited Hamilton for a day. Her stay in the district was spent at the Kaimais, and the people with whom she spent the holiday have been quarantined for the usual period.
