Cricket Competition Matches Abandoned

In the Clark Shield competition, Te Teko met P. & T. Rovers and, having first use of the wicket, had made 64 runs for eight when the game was called off. Patterson, 22, and Lyon, 15, were top scorers, B. Thomas 2 wickets for 7 runs, and Martin 3 for 6 in two overs producing Rovers’ best bowling averages. Waimana had five wickets down for 45 runs when rain stopped the match with P. & T. Rangers. At that stage, H. Ruff, 29 not out, was the only double-figure scorer.
