Wild Weather Ruins Most District Fixtures
Wild, weather over the weekend wet-blanketed sports fixtures. There was little bowlingactivity, and no compettiion play. Saturday’s scheduled cricket match between the United Club and Putaruru was called off and, though both Clark Shield matches were started on Sunday, both had to be abandoned in the early stages. Surf Club practices were canned on, but under difficult conditions.
