Gift Afternoon For Bride-Elect

A most pleasant gift afternoon was held at Mrs A. Torrie’s home, Taneatua recently. Miss Jean Dunstan, who is being married shortly, was guest of honour. There were many guests present. Mrs Torrie received them wearing a smart afternoon frock of figured crepe, and Mfss Dunstan chose a becoming silk figured suit. Clock golf and ladder croquet were among the games played. After a delicious afternoon tea, Mrs Torrie, on behalf of all present, asked Miss Dunstan to accept the many [gifts with their best wishes for her future happiness. Miss Dunstan in well chosen words thanked Mrs Torrie and all for the lovely afternoon and gifts, §ll of which, she said, were greatly appreciated.
