New Boxing Licence For Clarrie Gordon
The Auckland professional welter weight boxer, Clarrie Gordon, who was deprived of his licence to box in New Zealand three years ago following an inquiry into a bout with the present lightweight champion, Jim Griffin, of' Wellington, has now been granted a new licence. Gordon, who fought with great success in Australia last year, intends to challenge lan Cruckshank, of Dunedin, for the welter-weight title. He will also seek « bout with the American Negro, Willie Jones.
