United Club’s Week-End

On Saturday the Whakatane United Circket Club played the Putaruru Club and when the/game was abandoned owing to rain the United Club had 225 or. the board for the loss of six wickets. Principal scorers were W. J. McKenzie 102, L. R. Spring 28, B. Palmer 25, W. Alexander 21, M. Le Pine 20. On Sunday the United Club played the Cambridge Club and were successful by 8 runs on the first innings. Best scorers were: Cambridge 120 F. Munro 35, W. J. McKenzie 4 for 31; M. Le Pine 3 for 32. Whakatane United 128, W. J. McKenzie 71, R. Burton 3 for 17.
