Mrs J. King, Senr., and Mr W, Howat have been made life members of the Whakatane District Caledonian Society.
Mr R. A. Wilson, who has been insurance representative on the Whakatane Fire Board for the past 10 years, has resigned on account of his pending retirement from business.
Miss K. Miller, newly appoinaed matron of the Whakatane Hospital, was formally welcomed by the Hospital Board at its meeting yesterday when the chairman, Mr Mullins introduced her to members and expressed the Board’s goodwill.
