Whakatane Wins InterClub Golf Match Against Te Teko Team
Best scores in the 4-Ball Bogey played on Saturday on the Whakatane links were: — L. Luxton and W. Henderson 3 up; L. Burke and T. Burke 2 up; N. Ducker and R. Pattison 1 up. The inter-club match between Te Teko and Whakatane resulted in a win for Whakatane by 5 games to 1 with one all square. In the final of the Intermediate Knock-out Dr. Dawson defeated P. Campbell, and in the final of the Junior Championship Consolation W. R. Sloane defeated B. Butler. Closing day has been postponed one week, to November. 15, when mixed Canadian Foursomes will be played, followed by presentation of trophies.
