New Year Carnival Donation List Growing Fast

The donation list opened at the inaugural meeting of the Whakatane Carnival Committee realised the sum of £25 on the spot. Since then, in response to a circular sent out by the secretary, Mr L. D. Lovelock, this amount has been increased. The objective as £l5O, and further donations may be made to the secretary, or to the President, Mr C. L. Jordan. Donors to date are:— Messrs Armstrong & Co. £5; F. M. Abbott £5; R. T. Morpeth £5; D. Anderson £2 2s; C. F. Thomas £2 2s j C. R. Whittle £2 2s; Ramson and Rae £2; E. R. Dillicar £2; A. A. Newman. £2; H. L. King £1 Is; J. A. Grant £1 Is; C. H. Brebner £1 Is; KingsleySmith and Matthews £2 2s, a total of £32 11s.
