Record Response To Crippled Children’s Society Annual Appeal

The annual appeal for the Crippled Children’s Society reached record figures said the treasurer speaking at the quarterly meeting of the Society on Thursday. Dr. Dawson was in the chair. Figures were £179 18s lid for the quarter ended 30/9/47. A pleasing feature of the appeal was the large increase in school donations which rose from £6 in 1946 to £39 for the present year. Dr. Dawson remarked on the good response. The committee desire to thank the public for their support of the annual appeal. Miss Terry presented her report on the number of patients seen through the district. The meeting was attended by Dr. Dawson (chair), Messrs. Notley, Bell, Slipper, McKay, Bridger; Misses Waterhouse and Terry.
