ST. JOHN’S CADETS
W AIM AN A UNIT During the past weekend, the Waimana St. John’s Cadets assembled at Mrs Wylde’s residence for their yearly examination. Mr and Mrs Carling and Mrs Hannah, were present. Luncheon was served .by Mrs Wylde. Mr Carling examined the cadets and congratulated them on their passes, and Mrs Hannah, president of the Whakatane cadets, presented stripes to the cadets for their past second year’s service. Those receiving stripes are as follows: Joy Boynton, Cini Boynton, J. Wylde, D. Hughes, Dora Wardlaw, K. Macdonald, B. Henderson, S. Brown, N. Rust, C. Wardlaw. At the conclusion of the day, Mrs Wylde was thanked for her hospitality and the good work done in the past with the cadets.
