DOING GOOD JOB

LOCAL ROWING CLUB COUNCILLOR’S COMMENT A letter from the Whakatane Rowing Club seeking permission to hold a stall on October 31 was received by the Borough Council on Monday. Permission was granted subject to no street collection being held. Cr Shapley said the council should encourage the club which was doing good work. Permission to hold a bring and buy stall was also sought. This was granted for a date to be arranged by the Mayor as that suggested was not available.
