Boxer Murphy Takes Meat And Eggs on Tour
Bos Murphy, on his way to storm the boxing citadels of England, is reported to have taken with him as “personal cargo” in the liner Rimutaka 2001 b. of meat and 360 eggs. He claimed it was impossible to keep fighting' fit on “high starch ration,”, and was hoping the British Food Ministry would not take too dim a view. He was reported to have told the Daily Express he did not want to impose on British supplies.
