Electricians Foregather

Dancing, intermingled with orchestral items, songs and humorous patter made the evening recently organised by the Whakatane branch of the Electricians’ Institute for its members, their wives and girl friends a delightful occasion. Mr T. Hurndell acted as M.C. with pep and humour that kept things going at a bright tempo throughout. Guests were welcomed by the president, Mr F. W. Lysaght. Apart from the orchestral pieces, items were contributed' by Mrs Henderson, Misses Pigram and Stewart, Messrs H. Armstrong and J. Denham (songs); Messrs Blake (violin solos), Addison (conjuring), Hurndell and Hansler (humour). Pianistes for the evening were Mesdames F. Lysaght, Clark, A. Stewart and Mr O’Rourke.
