FIRST MATCH SATURDAY
The Whakatane United Club will open the 1947/48 season with a match against the Opotiki on Saturday the 11th inst. Play will commence at 10.30 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. Following is the United team:— W. Crawford, N. Rigden, F. Cam- . eron, G. Howard, W. Alexander, J. Yates, E. Chamberlain,' E. Palmer, - C. Treadwell, J. Cur/y, L. Spring, . W. McKenzie. ' The above players are all requested to. be at the ground at 9 a.m. ins lorder to prepare the wicket etc.. !
