The semi-finals of the Whakatane ,Club Championships and other competitions played on Saturday resulted as follows: —

Senior: A. P. Smith beat A. Morpeth; I. Wylds beat N. Hockin. Intermediate: A. Bridger beat L. Roach; F. R. Combes beat L. B. Smith.

Junior: D. Murray beat M. Canning; W. G. Howat beat J. C. White. Senior Flight: D. Luxton beat N. Ducker.

Intermediate Flight: Alexander beat L. Luxton; Tippett beat Burke. Junior Flight: B. Butler beat Shaw; Sloane beat Shuker. Senior Knockout: A. Powdrell beat R. Butler.

Stableford: B. Alexander 37, I. Wylds 34. Next Saturday’s competition will be a Medal Handicap for Veterans (over 45 years) and for Colts (45 and under), in which players will arrange their own threes and commence as early as possible.
