WANTED THE TRUTH Sir, —Why is it that both sides of the “House” and the press are only speaking half truths, when approaching the present situation? What would be the use of a Premier’s Conference (re food for Britain)’ if we are to be run by, and controlled by the extra territorial of New York? I would stress this quotation (extra territorial from the pen of Mr Edward Crankshaw’s article in the Herald 12/9/47. He says: The surest way to shake the “Extra Territorial” authority of Russia thereby limiting the spread of Communism, and hindering the Molotov Plan (designed to make an economic whole of Eastern Europe for the purpose of feeding Russia) is to accept the Marshall Plan. I do not agre.e with the Marshall Plan, which is only (pro tern) a modification of the disease, at its best, but I am with him when he points to Great Britain as a horrible example of what happens to nations that put their trust in Wall Street —or the State Department! Communism was propagated, and financed into Russia, by Wall Street in 1917, there being a strong affinity between them for world control. This is the control and plot of foreign financiers, and Britain has been badly betrayed by her economic advisers, those financial experts from the London School of Economics. Such as Profesor Laski, Professor and Lecturer in the London School of Economics, also Chairman of the Labour Party. And we have the experience of some of these experts throwing their weight about here in New Zealand, and their programme in the hungry thirtys, it is well to remember. What are our Parliamentarians going to do about it, if they cannot help Britain, they cannot help us, without a change in our monetary system to relieve slump conditions. Who is it that is controlling and diverting “Bulk Shipments” of New Zealand and Australian meat and grain from the British consumer? Who but the extra territorial, and its right-hand supporter Communism. Yours etc., W. BRADSHAW.
