EDGECUMBE PIG SALE ■ STORES TO £5/2/The Farmers’ Auctioneering Co. Ltd. report having held another successful pig sale at Edgecumbe on Monday 15. Values were buoyant and all classes were sought after at prices in vendors’ favour. Realisations were:—
Heavy baconers £5 19s to £6 ss; light baconers £5 11s to £5 15s; buttermilk pigs £4 11s to £5 2s; large stores £3 11s to £4 3s; small stores £2 17s to £3 15s; slips £2 2s to £2 16s; weaners £1 5s to £2; choppers £5 7s 6d to £5 15s; sows to farrow £7 to £8 10s; sows with litters £8 10s to £l4.
