SUCCESSFUL DANCE

AWAKERI CATHOLIC FUNCTION A vex'y successful Grand Catholic Dance was held in the Awakeri Hall recently. The hall was filled to capacity. The Rhythm Vendors were at their best and Mr T. Fabish as M.C. kept things going briskly. An enjoyable extra was rendered by Miss Shirley Modricli of Auckland. A delicious home-made supper was served by a willing band of lady helpers. During the course of the evening two monte carlo waltzes were held. These were won by Mr P. Carter and Miss L. Lord and Mr R. Jamieson and Miss N. Carter. Competition winners were: P. Withy (dinner) and B. Mexted (tobacco).
