BRIDE TO BE HONOURED

MISS CONNIE SCHOFIELD Knox Church congregation " met on Thursday evening last to farewell Miss Connie Schofield whose marriage very recently took place. An enjoyable programme had been arranged and items were given by the following: Solo, Miss Dorothy Stewart; monologue, Miss Francis Windley; pianoforte duet, Misses Pat and Vivienne Murphy; mime, Bible Class Girls. The presentation of a silver tea service was made by Rev. H. M. Bell who spoke very highly of Miss Schofield’s church activities over the past years and both he and Mr B. Watts on behalf of the congregation, extended her their best wishes as she left to make her future home in Nelson.
