Scandinavian Club

A large and widely representative gathering of Danes, Swedes and Norwegians met in Wellington recently at the inaugural meeting of the Wellington Scandinavian Club. A resolution to the effect that a club be formed was carried by acclamation. It was agreed that the principal aims of the club should be to provide a meeting ground for Scandinavians and people of Scandinavian descent resident in Wellington, and to maintain and promote the national languages and cultures.
