To progress here at all must first create the means of livelihood—remove the lethargy of hopelessness and the cramping fear of starvation. If the technician can see this and. then still sell out to private gain, or because the race to run has become too difficult, he is deserting humanity at a time when every sane, intelligent, scientifically-mind-ed person should be doing his utmost for it.
