APPRECIATIVE LETTER FOOD-PARCEL RECIPIENT The following letter has been received by Mr W. Bradshaw of Ohope, from a woman ip Wortley, Leeds, England, to whom he sent a food parcel and once again serves to illustrate the deep appreciation of the people living in the old land for the food parcels going forth from New Zealand:— “The rain recently has done a lot of damage up and down the country. One is apt to get a bit fed up for we have had enough with the food and clothing problems without having to put up with such terrible weather. In the last 48 hours we have had ho less than three storms and we wonder when things will* get back to normal but God is good and the old country will recuperate. We received your parcel and the contents were all in good order. It was grand. We do appreciate your kindness. The bananas (dried) especially appealed to us as - we have never seen anything like them in a packet. You can guess that I will make good use of them. In the meantime all our thanks again.”
