NO CLEARANCE

EX-PATIENT’S REQUEST MAN WHO WALKED OUT Considerable discussion took place at Thursday’s meeting of the hospital board regarding a letter in the possession of Mr H. C. McCready. Mr McCready said that he had recently received a letter from an expatient who had walked out of hospital to the. effect that he had not received his clearance. This was necessary before he could claim compensation. He had left the letter behind. Mr Mullins said that he thought the request should have come through the proper channels. There was a definite procedure laid down for such matters and this should be adhered to.

Mr McCready said that the correspondent had been waiting for seven months on his clearance. It was decided that the matter be referred to the finance committee for investigation and that Mr McCready be asked to hand the letter to the secretary.
