WEDDING BELLS

CAMPBELL—WALKER A wedding of considerable interest to the district took place recently at Knox Church, Whakatane, the contracting parties being James Clifford, third son of Mr and Mrs P. Campbell, of Wyndhafn, Southland, and Marjorie, only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. R. Walker, of Thornton, Whakatane. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful lace frock with low waistline, full bishop sleeves and square neck. The embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a row of tiny white lace rosettes. She carried a trailing bouquet of white carnations and daisies. .In attendance were Miss Eileen Harris, of Wanganui, and Miss Kathleen Carter, of Whakatane, who both looked charming in long teal blue frocks cut on graceful lines. They carried trailing bouquets of red camelias and anemones with red anemones in their hair. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Peter Campbell, as best man and Mr Lewis Walker as groomsman. Later a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. Mr and Mrs Campbell will make their home in Southland.
