COMING OF AGE

AWAKERI CELEBRATION MR RONALD ANDREWS A very gay coming of age party was held at Awakeri recently by Mr and Mrs A. T. Andrews in honour of their son Ronald. A number of friends and relations were present and a very enjoyable evening was spent in games and singing. Mr A. Ward of Te Puke supplied piano-accordion music. After supper* the guest cut the cake and made a short speech in which he thanked all present for the lovely presents received. Among those present were Mesdames L. Partridge (grandmother of the guest), E. Ward, P. Layne, T. Plant, H. Rimmer, M. Morrison. Misses G. Ward, A. Ward, J. Ward, P. Patterson (all of Te Puke), Miss N. Wilson (Scotland), Misses M. Boulcott, E. Boulcott, A. Luttrell, B. Luttrell (Awakeri), Messrs. J. Warner (Gisborne), E. Ward, A. Ward, S. Honeyfield (Te Puke), A. Rimmer, J. Rimmer (Manawahe), F. Jensen, M. Jensen, J. Boulcott, S. Luttrell, W. McDonald (Awakeri), Masters A. and C. Ward (Te Puke). At the conclusion of the evening the guest was accorded musical honours.
