A LIVE ORGANISATION

BY keeping the claims of Ohope Beach well to the fore, the Progress League now in office at the resort is proving itself more alive than any previous organisation, to take office. The most recent effort to press for better facilities was in the form of a letter to the County Council which has received sympathetic consideration from that body. A further aspect which the League would do well to co-operate with the Council in would be the matter of-house construction, which was discussed at last meeting at the instigation of the Engineer, and which aims at maintaining a decent type of residence on the beach, and of preventing the erection of mere shacks. The League has proved a mainspring of enter-

prise and genuine progress and its members are to be complimented. ' ,
