ROYAL RECOGNITION
SERVICE OF RED CROSS / WORK DURING THE WAR Carrying the signature of their Majesties the King and Queen, certificates of merit have been received by the Centre and Sub-Centres of the Red Cross Society operating throughout this district in recognition of their services during the war period. The certificates are attractively set out and will serve as a proud reminder of the close interest of the King and Queen in the humanitarian work of the International Movement. The wording reads as under: War Oragnisation , i of the British Red Cross Society and Order of St John of Jerusalem Presented to Eastern Bay of Plenty Centre New Zealand Red Cross Society In recognition of devoted service to the cause of Humanity during the second World War 1939-1945.
