Maori Welcome to “Monty”
A communication has been sent to the Native Minister, Mr P. Fraser, by the Arawa Trust Board requesting that the time allocated to the Maori people for the entertaining of Field-Marshal Montgomery on Monday afternoon be extended a further half-hour. The programme for Field-Marshal Montgomery’s welcome and consequent entertainment cannot be completed until an answer is received. Mr Fraser has replied that he will communicate with the Field-Marshal.
