Baking Under Difficulties
An incident at the height of the Borough flooding is a point of Interest. Baker D. Anderson with his assistant noticed the waters commencing to run under the door of his bakehouse, whilst in the throes of baking the bread for the morrow. It was a battle of wits to sweep back the stream of water and to keep the ovens fed. However it resulted in a win for humanity, and nature retreated disdainfully under the door as the dawn broke.
