TANEATUA FAREWELL

MR AND MRS O. GLOVER DEPARTURE FOR NAPIER The Taneatua Hall was the scene recently of a very pleasant gathering of friends of Mr and Mrs Owen Glover who have since left the district for Napier, j The farewell was arranged by the! sports bodies of Taneatua and was a very successful function. The evening was spent in dancing with cards for those who wished. Mr Gardner was M.C. and voluntary music was supplied by Mrs Gardner, Miss Print, Mr A. Wardlaw and Mr G. Grey. After supper had been served the president of each of the local sports bodies paid tribute to both Mr and Mrs Glover, both of whom had taken a very prominent part in sports activities and they were presented with a crystal water set. Mr Glover in his reply referred to the happy times he and his wife had spent in Taneatua.
