. SUCCESSFUL DANCE i YOUNG PEOPLE’S CLUB FUNCTION Another of the very successful series of dances being run by*the Young People’s Club in aid of the Taneatua War Memorial Fund was held in the Taneatua Hall recently, the Premier Band providing the music.
Mr Gardner was a popular M.C. The Statue Waltz was won by Miss Thompson and Mr G. Hill while Mrs T. Anderson and partner won the Monte Carlo Waltz. The usual delicious home-made supper was provided and served by the members of the Young. People’s Club.
It is the intention of the club to hold a social and dance on July 14 when there will be present some members of the older generation who will teach the younger ones to dance the Lancers. As the Lancers will be featured on the programme of the Ball to be held for the War Memorial Fund all those who wish, to participate are cordially invited, to the social and dance to receive instruction.
