WOMEN’S DIVISION

TANEATUA BRANCH RECENT MEETING Members of the Taneatua branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers met in the hall supper room recently, Mrs Prince presiding. After the Creed had been recited minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Members decided to bring goods for a food parcel to be sent to England, the secretary being instructed to obtain addresses to which parcels should be sent. Arrangements were made for a meeting at which Mrs Elliott Dominion President W.D.F.F., would be present and it was decided to invite sister branches to be present to meet Mrs Elliott. A dainty afternoon tea served by Mrs Hayward concluded the afternoon. Mrs Reeves and Mrs Goodhew judged the compettiions as follows: Double flower: Mrs Hayward 1, Mrs Ricketts 2, Mrs Grey 3. Single flower: Mrs Hayward 1. Best shrub: Mrs Prince 1, Mrs Ricketts 2, Mrs Grey 3. Embroidered supper cloth: Mrs Ricketts and Mrs Grey equal 1. Three biscuits: Mrs Hayward and Mrs Grey equal 1.
