BOILING DOWN WORKS
AWAKERI CLOSING DOWN TE PUKE FIRM COLLECTING Of considerable interest to farmers is the announcement that the boiling down works at Awakeri, operated for some years by Mr C. Klaus is discontinuing operations. Arrangements have been made for dead cattle to be collected from farms in the Whakatane district by trucks of the Bay of Plenty Boiling Down Works and taken to Te Puke for disposal. This arrangement will operate during the dairying season now commencing and should be appreciated by farmers who are unfortunate enough to lose animals from their herds.
