Tree Tomato Recipes “In my opinion the Sub-Tropical Fruitgrowers’ ' Association started out on the- right foot when they printed recipes on the treatment of tree tomatoes, to pack with the' fruit,” stated Mr A. B. Congdon, President of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Association recently when addressing a party of fruitgrowers at Otumoetai. He said that if that had not been done, possibly many people would have tried them raw, disliked them, and not bothered to have ordered any more. Tenants and Landlords

Many people probably are . not aware that where the occupier of a house agrees to let any part of it to an ex-serviceman, both the landlord and the tenant may agr'fce in writing that the premises so let will be exempt from the Fair Rents Act. The agreement has to be made before the tenancy commences and must be approved by an inspector of factories. It will mean that the tenancy, or any sub-tenancy, can be according to provisions made in the agreement between the landlord and the serviceman tenant. All such agreements are specially exempted from stamp duty. This amendment to the Fair Rents Act was brought down to make it easier for those people who wished to help ex-servicemen, by providing accommodation of his nature, to tide them over until something more permanent was provided.
