CHORAL SOCIETY NEEDS SUPPORT

A CULTURAL institution that has recently been formed and is worthy of the utmost support is the Whakatane Choral Society. Already the Whakatane district has an enviable renoun because of the interest taken by its people in musical matters. The very strong support accorded the Citizens Band is a case in point. The Choral Society should not look in vain for similar assistance from people with musical ability and from the general public. The society has made a promising beginning with its Easter Cantata. Its next public performance scheduled for October will be awaited with keen interest.
