WEEKEND GAMES MEN’S CLUB PLAY In spite of boisterous weather some of the matches set down for last Saturday were played. Following is the results:— Clarke Cup: Powdrell beat Hyland; Alexander beat Moore; Dawson defaulted to C. B. Wylds. In the second round Powdrell plays Alexander; I. A. Wylds plays '-the winner of Pattison and C. B. Wylds. Reynolds Cup: Howat beat Winstone; Stone beat Rangi; White beat Tomlinson. In the second round Howat plays the winner of Murray and A. C. Anderson; Stone plays the winner of Le Pine and White. Every endeavour will be made to bring all matches up to the final stages during the coming weekend. A Bogey Handicap played on Saturday was won by N. Hockin with a score of 1 down. Next Saturday a Four Ball Best Ball Stableford will be played in which players will arrange their own partners and opponents and start as early as possible. Stableford points will be counted for the best-ball score.
TE TEKO LADIES’ CLUB
Following is the draw for a Fourball Best-ball Stableford Bogey to be played on Thursday: Mrs A. P. Smith and Mrs Caldwell v Mrs Hutton and Mrs Cannell; Mrs Goodwin and Miss Murray v Mrs Balfour and Mrs Russell; Mrs L. B. Smith and Mrs Burr v Mrs Thomas and Miss Linsell. The following will play a Medal round over nine holes: Mrs Linsell and Mrs Hendle; Mrs Waldegrave and Mrs Anderson; Miss Walker and partner.
