MATATUA CENTRAL ASSN. During the weekend some fast and exciting games were witnessed at Ruatoki under perfect weather conditions. There were some runaway victories, but other games -were evenly contested. As all the games of the sub-asso-ciation are centralised and played on the one field there was never a dull moment for the spectators. Mr James Riini gave a running commentary on the matches on No. 1 ground and later entertained with his Sainty Singers. The following are the results:— Men’s A Grade Wairaka 6, Tuhoe 2. Ahuwhenua drew Ruatoki 2-2. Ngahina 4, Wainui 2. Men’s B Grade Wairaka drew Tuhoe United 1-1. High School a bye. Ladies’ A Grade Ruatoki 3, Ahuwhenua 0. Tuhoe 3, Wairaka 2. High School 8, Wainui 0. Ladies’ B Grade Ruatoki B 1, High School B 0.
