Rangitaiki Drainage Rates

Ratepayers of the Rangitaiki Drainage District met in the Awakeri Hall on Thursday to discuss the effect of the anticipated increase in drainage rates. A report of the meeting will appear later.

Visitors From Te Aroha Dr. W. R. Lawrence, of Te Aroha, accompanied by four members of the Te Aroha St. John Ambulance Brigade, motored to Whakatane on Saturday afternoon. In the evening Dr. Lawrence showed a number of silent motion picture films illustrating first aid work to a large audience in the St. John Ambulance Hall. The visitors returned to Te Aroha after the meeting.
