WHAKATANE MEN S CLUB Owing to the wet weather last Saturday afternoon there was not much play. The best Medal scores among those who braved the elements were: N. Ducker 81—9—72, S. C. Spence 86—9—75. Few Clarke and Reynolds Cup matches were played but will be continued next Saturday in conjunction with a Bogey round, all games being played in four formation. The Whakatane team suffered defeat at the hands of Rotorua during last weekend, but with the usual in-
ter-club spirit prevailing the event was nevertheless very enjoyable. Rotorua won 16 matches to Whakatane’s 8. TE TEKO LADIES’ CLUB On Thursday this week the following will play a medal round in conjunction with the second round of the President’s and Captain’s trophies: Mrs A. P. Smith and Mrs Hutton; Miss Murray and Mrs Cannell; Mrs L. B. Smith and Mrs Goodwin; Mrs Burr and Miss Linsell; Mrs Caldwell and another; Mrs Linsell and Mrs Hendyl; Mrs Anderson and Mrs Waldegrave. Sunday: Mrs A. P. Smith and Mrs Thomas.
