Getting the Bird

A certain lady golfer has a rather amusing tale to tell concerning an incident during a round of golf on a recent weekend. It appears that the lady concerned took a hearty swing which sent the ball sailing far off in the approved manner. She discovered the ball near a seagull which was suffering from a bad attack of sore head. She blushingly admits that the bird must have been “sitting” when hit. We will be very glad to hear of any golfer who has hit a seagull “on the wing.” Until we do the lady in our story must hold the honours.
