MUSICAL COMPETITIONS
FESTIVAL AT HAMILTON The second annual festival of the Hamilton Competitions Society is to be held in Hamilton from August 23 to September 3. Special prizes include £SO for highest aggregate average marks. The winner of the Grand Opera Aria Vocal Scholarship (open to ladies and gentlemen) will be - awarded one year’s free tuition at the N.S.W. State Conservatorium of Music and will include a special course in theory and first class return fare between New Zealand and Australia. This prize is worth approximately £l6O.
