REGENT THEATRE
“MISS SUSIE SLAGLE’S” Tues. 10, Wed 11. Veronica Lake, whose famous, peek-a-boo won for her the affectionate title, “The Hair” may now set another sensational hair style because of a recent lapse of memory. The star’s blonde tresses are at present in a pompadour, 1910 style, for her role in Paramount’s “Miss Susie Slagle’s” bowing in at the Regent Theatre. One night, rushing from the set to attend the fights at the Hollywood Legion Stadium, Veronica forgot to take down her locks and modernise the hair-do. Ringside friends- complimented' Miss Lake profusely on her attractive “new” coiffure, and news photographers snapped many pictures of her. With their publication, the originator of the one-eyed hairdress irfay now set a new style. “Miss Susie Slagle’s” co-stars Veronica with Sonny Tufts and newcomer Joan Caulfield.
