BASKETBALL DANCE
SUCCESSFUL' FUNCTION IN AID OF FUNDS The Whakatane Basketball Club held a very successful dance in the King Street Hall on Saturday night. There was a very large crowd present and it is estimated that the club’s funds will benefit considerably as a result of the night.
A feature of the evening was a special competition waltz which was won by Mr C. Hignett and Miss G. Harrison.
Miss Jean Howat gave a tap dance and Miss D. Stewart songs.
Supper was served and music was supplied by the Premier Orchestra. Mr W. Howat made a capable M.C.
