Inter-Island Traffic

Passenger traffic between Lyttelton and Wellington for the Easter holidays was not as heavy as it was last year. The decrease was mainly from Lyttelton for the North Island, the severe curtailment of train services in the„north being responsible for many cancellations. The Hinemoa arrived at Lyttelton on Thursday morning practically a full ship, but she took only 300 passengers on the daylight trip ton. .The Rangitira arrived in the evening from Wellington, but was not fully booked. She left again on Thursday night for Wellington with a full complement of passengers, and the Hinemoa, which arrived from Wellington on Friday morning, was a full ship.
