Information has been received by the Whakatane Anglican Vestry, that Canon Frazer, .who has been carrying out relieving work at Sumner, Christchurch, has been appointed locum tenens to the Parish of Whakatane pending the return from Japan of Rev. Wilson. . . Mr Barry McGougan the prominent local footballer, received notification of his nomination for the AH Black test trials which take place at Palmerston North today. He left yesterday. Followers of Rugby in this district will join in wishing him the best of luck.
