WHAKATANE LADIES’ CLUB This week the first round of the .Allan Trophy competition will be played. The automatic draw is:— Miss Reynolds v Mrs Fogerty; Mrs Dawson v Mrs Pearse; Miss Armstrong v Mrs Sloane; Mrs Grey v Mrs Armstrong; Mrs Thomas v Miss Robins; Miss Hyland, v Mrs Suckling; Miss Hyland v Mrs Sisam; Miss -Carter v Mrs Symmans. The play will be match played on handicap and any pair finishing up ■.all square must play, on in sections vof three holes. There will be no draw for the remaining players so they may arrange their partners or pair and play off as they arrive at the club- ' house. For the Aotea-roa Cup played last week a good card was returned by 'Mrs Grey 103 —33,*70. Thus reducing her handicap by five.
