PLUNKET SOCIETY

MAY MEETING HELD The May meeting of the Whakatane branch of the Plunket Society was held on Monday, May 5 last: Present: Mesdames Cairns (in the chair), R. Morpeth, O’Rourke, Debreceny, Dainton, Kingsley-Smith and Roach. Apologies were received from Mesdames Zinsli, Spring, Knights, Jessop and Shapley. The president referred to the reat loss the local branch of the Society has suffered in the death of Mrs C. G. Caisley who had held office both as President and Secretary respectively. Her everady help and advice will long be remembered. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Mrs Caisley. The Nurses’s report for March was received. Miss Winstone has been appointed to relieve at the Whakatane branch during the time Miss Armstrong is on annual leave next month.
